AG DEMONSTRATES HOW TO CLEAR SNOW OFF YOUR CAR
A couple other notes from the proprietor:
USE A BRUSH, NOT A SHOVEL
You may be tempted, if your car is really buried, to use a shovel to try to skim some snow off the roof and hood before you make with the brush. I tried that one time and, as careful as I thought I was being, I dug some very impressive scratches into the hood.
WEAR BOOTS AND GLOVES, COWBOY.
Everyone thinks sweeping snow off their car will take 30 seconds. It doesn’t – it takes longer, depending on your height, physical fitness and endurance. Also, it’s easy to lose your footing if you’re concentrating on sweeping off the car, so wear snow boots.
DON’T WAIT UNTIL THE WHITE STUFF FREEZES
Not everyone likes to clean the snow off their car, but if you do it while the snow is fresh, it’s far easier than waiting until it freezes, is twice as heavy and likes to stick to everything.
DON’T BE SURPRISED IF A SNOWPLOW COMES ALONG AND BURIES YOUR RIDE
Keeping roads clear for emergency vehicles during a storm is more important than individual motorists driving to the grocery store, as we can live off our fat for many months.
