I have been to Lisbon recently; it is an old, gorgeous city with skinny streets and pickpockets and chocolate and bread and where everyone ends up losing their hearts accompanied by the plaintive sounds of fado music.
It must be walked, bicycled and scootered, but take your time; you will have a blast.
Or drive out to the country and stomp some grapes, like I did.
Why am I telling you this?
Because getting to Lisbon just got easier. TAP Portugal provides direct flights to Lisboa, having just partnered up with Jet Blue. That means more flights to Lisbon out of New York’s JFK and Boston’s Logan.
It’s happening this summer, with round-trip fares of $799 that include a free side trip to Porto.
JetBlue founder and former CEO David Neeleman is now a major shareholder in TAP, so everyone’s on the same team, yes?
